Detailed Information for Foxchase Apartments

Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. While their promotional visuals might appear enticing, prospective tenants should be forewarned of a multitude of hidden fees. Beyond the baseline rent, there are significant charges for amenities such as parking, water, and mail services, which often require an additional subscription. The following are crucial observations derived from reviews by past tenants across multiple platforms. It is imperative that you review these insights meticulously to avoid potential regrettable experiences.

Here is 15 reasons why you SHOULD NOT! consider moving into Foxchase Apartments:

  1. Inadequate Parking: Limited parking spaces leading to vehicle damage and difficulty finding spots.
  2. Unresponsive Management: Management is hard to reach and often unresponsive to complaints and maintenance requests.
  3. Security Issues: Poor security measures with unauthorized entries and a lack of action towards reported safety concerns.
  4. Maintenance Negligence: Slow and inadequate maintenance response, impacting the quality of living.
  5. Excessive Fees: Unexpected and high move-out charges, including cleaning and painting fees, regardless of apartment condition.
  6. Pest Infestations: Persistent problems with pests like mice and insects, inadequately addressed by pest control.
  7. Rental History Impact: Negative impact on tenants’ rental history due to association with the building’s issues.
  8. Violated Privacy: Reports of staff entering apartments without proper notification or leaving doors unlocked.
  9. Lack of Transparency: Deceptive leasing practices and hidden costs that are not communicated upfront.
  10. Compromised Living Conditions: Complaints about general uncleanliness and apartments in disrepair.
  11. Unjustified Rental Practices: The rental company’s failure to consider individual tenant records fairly.
  12. Unprofessional Staff Conduct: Staff behavior that is often described as rude and dismissive toward tenant concerns.
  13. Community Disregard: Perceived lack of concern for the community’s well-being and the personal circumstances of tenants.
  14. Inconsistent Policy Enforcement: Selective rule enforcement and unclear policy guidelines causing confusion and perceived unfairness.
  15. Financial Penalties: High costs associated with parking violations and other infractions that appear unfairly targeted.

I've been living in a Foxchase apt for almost 2 years. Rent prices and service fees are very high and both increase at an alarming rate per month. If you're looking to live in a complex of poorly constructed buildings, zero sense of community, unresponsive management, and random trespassing into your home by maintenance personnel, Foxchase is the place for you! Obviously, do your research to determine what's best for you but I would not recommend the Foxchase/Aimco community to anyone.

Me and my husband have been waiting for a parking spot for four months. The leasing office has so much turnover that none of the employees know what they're doing. The building is noticeably old with a terrible paint job. The units have been poorly maintained throughout the years. The laundry facility continues to get smaller and more expensive that I've starting driving to a laundromat. They charged us a late fee of $100 for a water bill that was definitely paid on time. Our toilet liner was broken, water was leaking on the floor. I'm fairly certain there's mold under the floorboards but maintenance WILL NOT look. I was told the contractor would be in touch to set up a visit to replace the flooring... three weeks ago. The few times I've walked to the pool it has been padlocked so we're not getting any use of the amenities. The dog park is small with no shade, and uncut grass. I have absolutely nothing good to say about these buildings or the customer service. I recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live!

Words cannot express how stressful it is to occupy these apartments. When my boyfriend, Jeff signed a lease in August, he was so excited to find a decently sized, decently priced apartment in Alexandria. However, I am in tears over how uncomfortable it is to stay in. When we inspected the apartment initially, we noticed bright blue splatters, which appeared to be paint, on several walls throughout the apartment, both upstairs and downstairs, in the den, in the kitchen in every bathroom. It wasn't paint. It was BIRD SHIT. There were birds living in our laundry room and vents. It took weeks of daily harrassment to rectify the issue. Then, in the warm August and September months, our building on Raleigh Ave was COVERED and I mean ABSOLUTELY COVERED with roaches. I even made friends with a girl in the building over our common complaints about this building. I would literally look at the sky when approaching the building to avoid seeing the roaches scattered around my feet. Eventually they were in our apartment, which through several pest control requests, cold weather, and diligent cleaning have seemed to quiet down a bit. But now, as many of the tenants here have complained, my apartment is infested with mice. I have put in several requests and have even noted that there are so many within the walls squeaking and falling and gnawing and running that I cannot sleep at night upstairs. And mind you, we are on the FOURTH FLOOR. If these issues are so intense here, I can't imagine how many rodents and pests really occupy this building. It makes me itch to think about it. My boyfriend and I sleep downstairs when I am here. The Housing Authority of Alexandria will be called this weekend. We also lived right next door to a man with mental health issues, who even threatened that he had a shotgun while he stood listening to us laugh outside of our door. The police came, but even after several formal complaints about his harrassment, nothing was done about it. This review may not prompt any true concern, but hopefully it can deter hopefuls who think they're making a great decision moving here. He signed such a long lease paying over 1700 dollars a month and cannot even sleep in either of the two bedrooms because of the infestations. This is truly a nightmare.

Absolutely horrible and illiterate customer service. Unreasonable pet fees and will deny your ESA letter for any reason they can find.

The Community Manager (Stephanie Hall) treats low-income renters like second-class citizens. She also encourages this rude, arrogant treatment to some of Maintenance Engineers. Comments such as "HUD who pays your rent" should be kept to herself. Being difficult and uncooperative to HUD recipients is uncalled for and extremely frustrating especially since she seems to not have any overhead.

Transparency is an issue here. On my move-out statement, they charged me for bills that are not communicated. Reaching out by phone call requires a number attempts patiently. On the residents app, there's a menu with a title "move out instructions" which opens to a blank page.

I have been put through the ringer trying to get my 500 dollar refundable deposit back. I applied for an apartment and it was canceled. I was told before hand that I would be given a full refund of the 500 if this was to happen. After 5-7 business days I still had not received anything. After calling and leaving messages for two days I finally reached someone. They said they would pass it along to their DM. The DM sent me a short email saying "I have refunded." This was 12 days ago. I still have not received anything. I sent two emails and left one voicemail and STILL have heard no word. I finally have been in touch with the corporate office. They are now trying to sort it out for me. This has put me in a very bad spot. I needed that REFUNDABLE 500 so I could pay my bills. I am a school teacher and have been extremely stressed out. It has been 3 weeks and yet I have received nothing. I hope I get MY MONEY back.

TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE. RATS AND ANTS EVERY WHERE, MANGEMENT IS HURANDUS!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT GET AN APARMENT HERE!!!! I RECENTLY MOVED HERE AND SO FAR I HATE IT. I JUST CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE IS OVER...

I lived in the apartment for about 15 months and it started off amazingly. I had no issues. However, towards the end of my contract I became aware of their rat problem and was completely disgusted. My husband and I used multiple traps and they all caught something, whether it was a rat or a small mouse. Moving out was pretty ridiculous. I literally only had carpet in the bedroom and used a rug doctor on it but was charged the move out cleaning fee because of the carpeted area . The day I moved out was the best day i had there. Parking was also a nightmare. I sometimes had to park on the street even though I paid for the permit to park in the lot. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live. *my opinion is based from when I lived there from 2012-2014.

The outside door didn't lock, had packages stolen , management was impossible to get in touch with, felt unsafe living here, my building smelled like smoke from one of the other units. This was one of the worst apartment complexes I have lived in and wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Disgusting apartments for the price you pay - I was paying around $1,300/month and had year-round spiders and house centipedes in my apartment. Out of the two years I was there, I saw 5 or 6 roaches come out from under my fridge - and I lived on the top floor! My microwave broke, my fridge leaked for the entire time I lived there (even after maintenance "fixed" it at least 3 times), my balcony door handle fell off twice, I had ants in my bathroom, my toilet started leaking and to repair the damaged tile in front of the toilet and fridge, they pulled tile up from next to my washing machine, so I had just bare wood floor. Not to mention after having a new toilet installed, I had to submit a completely new service request to have tile replaced in front of it since the new one was smaller and didn't fit in the space of the old one. Why they would think I would just want to live with tile missing in front of my toilet, I'm not sure - oh, and the handle on the new toilet was cracked when it was installed and I had to submit a new request for that too...I feel like it was just always something. Anytime I went to the office or called, the staff were pretty rude and short with me. I even explained all the problems I had during my move out interview, and the woman marked my move out sheet with "price" being the reason for moving. That was one of the reasons, but I just feel like they weren't that interested in any other issues I had. I would absolutely NOT recommend living here!

My wife and I went here to view these apartments and even signed up for a 1 bed room apartment. But due to family situations we couldnt move in to these apartments. We lost 550$ to them for nothing. Basically these guys are money minded and after having talking to many tenants there, I learnt that they are the same with everyone. The apartments look so old, painted in the exterior but when you get in, you know that they are actually not well maintained. Apartment is tiny and I got this feeling that they have remodelled a studio apartment into a one bedroom apartment just to get more money. When you walk around the area you can see many rats running around. I really pitty the people living in the ground floors. I even heard from another tenant that they actually get many centipedes and millipede worms creeping into their apartments. In a way I am happy that we did not move in to these apartments. Please do not go for the price.

Would give 0 stars if I could. From start to finish this was by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Immediately the first thing I noticed upon moving in was the rampant cockroach infestation. When brought to the attention of the leasing office they were not at all helpful and I dealt with this roach infestation the whole time I lived there. Ironically enough the roaches weren't the worst part about living here. I also moved into an apartment with no hot water because the hot water heater was broken upon moving in and leaking all over the floor. Once again leasing office was not cooperative getting this fixed and overall the whole time I lived there it was impossible to get in touch with maintenance. From start to finish they found ways to scam me out of my money with random unnecessary charges and processing fees. They changed my lease from the end date being June 22nd to July 1st on my resident portal without consulting me just so they could scam me into paying rent for the 1st day of July. They also require you to pay for them to CLEAN AND PAINT the apartment when you move out (another thing I have never seen my whole life renting) So many charges like this that I have never experienced at any other apartment complex in my whole entire life. Not to mention how unsafe this apartment was as well. I was first notified of people staring into apartments through windows after only a week of living here! After reading other reviews it seems that many other people had safety issues regarding stalkers and peeping toms as well. To make matters worse the lock on the main door to my building never worked in the 14 months that I lived there despite me and many other tenants repeatedly bringing this to the leasing office's attention. And last but not least, they claim to be non smoking yet the whole apartment constantly reeks of marijuana! Seriously rent ANYWHERE else, I've rented apartments in the dmv my whole life and have never experienced anything like this.

I made an appointment to see the apartments & speak with someone about the pricing & get more information. I drove all the way from Falls Church & even confirmed that morning that I would be getting a tour & speaking to someone about moving in. When I arrived there I was greated by a woman who from the start had such a terrible attitude, I believe her name was Jasmine. I told her I was there for the tour & she even confirmed by name & date/time. She said there was noone available to give me a tour & didn't provide any further information. She said I could reschedule for another day if I wanted to. Again, I confirmed the appointment an hour before arriving & was frustrated that they made me drive all the way to Alexandria just to be told that I had to make yet another appointment to see the apartments. No apology at all nor any respect for people's time in this place. If they wanted me to reschedule I would have had no problem, but instead they made me drive all the way there to speak to an unknowable rude woman who did not help nor provide any information. I will be looking at other apartments instead. Don't waste your time coming to this place.

RENTER BEWAREEEE!!!!!!! For starters, if you want to pay 1,500.00+ for a 1 bedroom (classic model, no upgrades), then be my guest 🙂 The apartments are ridiculously small, 1 bedroom-roughly 460 sq ft. The community is pet friendly, however, there's dog poop throughout the premises. The building I lived at, the door remained broken, and stayed open, huge security risk. Although, it is a non smoking community, I saw people smoke throughout the premises. The complex is built within the city, it's not sectioned off, so there's a lack of privacy. It's not gated, so it doesn't present a secure feeling. The parking spaces are very small, they try to squeeze in so many cars, if you have a nice car, or a car that you care about, I suggest you park around the back or risk getting your card dinged. Constant spiders and bugs were in my apartment. Mold was forever on my windows, regardless of how much I treated it, it would reappear. The units are poorly structured, I constantly heard my neighbors walking upstairs, you can hear the water running through the pipes, poor install. Lastly, what takes the cake is when I was in the process of moving out. I cleaned the entire apartment and they still charged me for damages, which didn't exist. I had to fight tooth and nail for them to refund me the painting charge. If they didnt' refund me, I was going to take legal action. If you do decide to move here, and when you finally move out, get a pre move out inspection. Also, you have to have the unit professionally cleaned, which wasn't specified in the lease agreement. Thankfully, the property manager decided to waive the charges. Save yourself time and a headache, and move somewhere, where you will get more bang for your buck. The only decent thing about this place was the maintenance. I could go on and on, but do your research thoroughly bf considering this community.

This is the second time I've been towed in 2 weeks for "parking in a reserved spot" even though I check every time and it never has reserved on it. This is ridiculous. Especially when I pay to park here.

Fees, endless fees. Also paying for parking is a joke since finding a spot late at night can be impossible due to all the cars without parking stickers that park on site, look elsewhere for an apartment if you have a car. Don't forget about the endless fees to a group of con artists know as conservice, con is even in the name! Edit dropping a star due to issues with the front doors of the apartment buildings. The front door of every foxchase apartment building is secured very poorly by a mag lock which can easily be forced open with a swift yank of the front door no key needed. This method of "opening" the front door of the building was used so much by maintenance and others it got to the point the door of my building would no longer close since it had become so heavily damaged. I put in multiple maintenance requests to have the front door fixed with some being marked complete even no work was ever done. If you're a person who values security look to rent elsewhere because foxchase management doesn't care if you live in a building that can be accessed by anyone who just pulls on the front door.

Foxchase Apartments is by far the worst complex I could've chosen to move into. To start, the apartment itself had multiple cracked tiles (kitchen and bathroom), water coming up from the under the floor(living room/bedroom), both of which took weeks to get resolved when, I was told it would be handled before my move in day. Somehow a family of idk how many, but definately too many (young kids included) ended up on the top floor, which of course leads to late nights(past 11pm), early mornings(7am to start) and, all day every day running around as if they are practicing for the circus 24/7. The biggest issue I have is the disgusting attitudes held by the staff and managers at the main office. Not only do they, not take any responsibility for anything wrong with the apartment itself, but they also seem to care very little about the well being of their tenants when it comes to maintenance, noise complaints or any complaint for that matter. After complaining for a month to the same staff and managers about the apartments issues and ridiculous noise above me, I was told handle it myself, which Isnt my job. The part that really gets me is the lack of respect for me as a tenant, the ill mindset to do nothing to help resolve my issues and the lack of communication between staff, managers and myself. One person has notes, the other doesn't. One claims theyll try to resolve the issue and then you find nothing has been done at all and for a representative of an establishment to intentionally hang up on a tenant, MULITPLE TIMES is just despicable and disgusting business practice. Im sad to say I live here because the staff have made this a living NIGHTMARE. If your looking for terrible staff and endless issues with no help from the people you pay thousands of dollars to, Foxchase is the place to be. If you want to live in a nice, quiet place, with good staff and good pricing.....LOOK ELSEWHERE! Beware what they try to sell you, I promise its nothing like it seems.

Foxchase is cheap for a reason. I recently discover the reason why. Living on the ground floor brings its issues. One of those issues being, the sewage backup into my unit I recently experienced. Maintenance and management were both notified and advised me that they had a professional cleaning company on the way to handle all cleanup and sanitization of both the unit and my own personal property. Company arrived but did not clean much of anything. They left even after I advised them of the sewage still on the floor. Maintenance and management were both notified but being after hours no one was available. So taking it upon myself to sanitize the unit I did so. I contacted management about the issue the following day during business hours. no answer and the call went to voicemail, message left. The next day tried again. Still no answer and voicemail was left. That same day I received a survey for there service. I handled the survey the same way they handled the sewage issue. Poor grades were issued. The next day I finally received a response from management 3 days after the incident, who issued an apology and said that they would contact the property owner (Aimco) due to the situation and see if they could assist me in the damages since it was not of my doing. 2 days later an email was sent "sorry again but damage is on you and your renters insurance." The next day I received a call from the head of maintenance who apologized and said I should not of had to handle that problem at all. He said he will do better and apologized. Now a week later from the date of incident. I contacted management by phone and email again to see if they will assist me in compensation for the problem that was their responsibility and failed at doing so and I handled. Still no response. At this point I am beyond angry, the fact that no one in management seems to care and there almost lack of response has me curious of other health issues such as mine that have taken place. At this time I have contacted the BBB and filed a claim for Aimco's inability to provide a clean living space not of my own doing. I have also contacted Virginia's board of health and human services who will be conducting a health inspection. To investigate if any other tenants may have been exposed to sewage in there units and if proper measures were taken in clean up by maintenance and follow up by management. If this is what you can afford, be warned. There are other issues that will become apparent within the first week or 2 of moving in. Good luck if you decide to live here but if possible don't live on the ground floor unless you like sewage in your home.

It's quite a shame I could not give it less that a star because the management in this location are GOD AWFUL. Stay away from this place at all cost! Just to give you an idea of how terrible the management is, I lived here for 14 months and never had a laundry key, even though during the walk through I was shown a door where the ""laundry"" in my building was. They gave me easily 15 different entry to building and door keys that never worked in the neighboring complex where my laundry room was supposed be. After the 15th time I finally called management and explained how terrible of service I was getting and not 20 minutes later I get a phone call from the person that "helped" me move in yelling at me for complaining to her boss. I immediately filed a complaint to her manager but to no surprise she was there 2 months later when I had to go to the admin office for ANOTHER issue. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The location is not worth it. Worst management you can ever imagine and I saw mice, cockroaches, centipedes and all kind of bugs in my apartment a month. STAY AWAY

Everything breaks. The kitchen is outdated and the counters/cabinets are cracked and old. The yard is not taken care of and mushrooms are growing all over the place. Trash is constantly littering the grass everywhere. Cockroaches! If you don't call and complain, they won't come take care of them. The shower tiles are literally caving in. The only plus is that the maintenance staff is great. Otherwise, it is over priced for the quality and I cannot wait to move.

MAKE SURE YOU DO A WALK THROUGH OF THE APARTMENT YOU MOVE INTO NOT THE STAGED ONE!! It will look completely different! If I could give a negative score I would. The maintenance office is a joke. They can't fix an outdoor light that is constantly flashing into our apartment! We put in 3 service requests only to be ignored. A week later I had to walk down to the maintenance office for them to say it has to be contracted out. FOR A LIGHT!! Secondly there is a real issues with pests. MICE are everywhere. Several requests to have them removed. They simply put down traps. It's a infestation within the entire building ( probably the entire complex.)

I moved in with my husband since he is renting here. Things were good at first. The longer I've lived here the worse it became. I don't mind a charming older apt. I do mind management not thinking through some of the decisions though. Particularly the noise level. First of all, it's nice that they are upgrading apts to make them more modern, yet when the apt above us was being renovated we received NO notice and there was extremely loud noises during the construction process. At that time I had a new born baby and was home with her during all of this. It took a week to complete and I had to take my newborn baby in my car for her to sleep peacefully. If I had notice beforehand I could have made arrangements for my newborn and I. I'm sure the upgrade was very nice, BUT the new washer and dryer they installed in the apt above us must be ancient and/or cheap because it makes loud noises especially during the last drain and spin cycle. Ours in our apt is really loud too, but what makes it worse above us is that it vibrates and sounds like a loud motor every time the people above us do laundry. I'm very surprised that management would choose such cheap (also very small) washers that make such loud noise especially for a building that is older and harder to barrier noise. We never heard any noise before the renovation. Washer and dryers today are much quieter so I'm not sure which ones management chose to elect but they definitely went the cheap route without thinking through the noise level. We've brought this up to management and although they said they'd check it out, they've opted to do nothing about it and asked if we wanted the people to do laundry only during the day. It's not the tenants fault at all and they are entitled to do laundry however often and whenever they choose. It is the apt management decisions and the fact that they wouldn't put customers service first is a shame. I asked if they could install quieter washers upstairs and even in our apt and nothing was done. It seems like an easy fix and I know there has been similar complaints. For the price we pay I expect a lot more.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the way both I and my wife were treated by one of your leasing office representatives, Mrs. Ana Munoz during my recent call and my wife's recent visit to your office. My wife visited the office on 02/15/2023 to inquire about being a head of the house, and unfortunately, Mrs. Ana Munoz was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Never she had a minute to listen to my request; let alone to help me bring about a solution. The representative showed a lack of respect towards me and made me feel like I was not valued as a tenant. The representative was rude and impatient, and I felt as if my concerns were not taken seriously. This kind of mistreatment is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any professional environment. As a tenant, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect by your representatives, and I am extremely disappointed that this was not the case. I have been a tenant of your property for over 7 years and have never experienced such unprofessionalism from any of your representatives before. I strongly urge you to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that your representatives are trained to provide excellent customer service to tenants. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the importance of treating tenants with respect and dignity regardless of their origin or what program they are under. In conclusion, I will not recommend this leasing office to anyone due to the way I and my wife were treated. I hope that you will take this review seriously and take appropriate measures to address the issue. Sincerely,

I would give it 3 stars if it wasnt for the parking ! The apartments are very nice and spacious ! (Although our Bedroom door and downstairs bathroom door cant close or lock! A little gust of wind will mess up your cable. The washer isn't that bad but the dryer...We have to put our clothes in for two hours just so they MIGHT BE all the way dry and our oven light doesnt work. ) But the parking lot is ridiculous!!!!! Since My husband and I have been here which has only been about 3 months our cars have been dinked , scratched , and this morning I come down to my car to see my rear view mirror tilted to the sky with scratch marks all on the back of it!! We take care of our cars and make sure we always park inside and in the middle of the lines like a decent human being but I still come down to scratches and dings in my car!! IM SO FURIOUS!! AND TO THINK WE PAID TO BE ABLE TO PARK IN THIS PARKING LOT !! We are basically paying to get our cars dented and scratched all over!! We are on the brink of moving because this is freaking ridiculous!!

Please do not rent there! You get contacted by Melody and Randy both of them are a JOKE! Cons ** No parking at night ** Old buildings always something wrong ** Service requested wait for like 2 months to be taken care ** Service manager doesnt do anything to fix it. ** Your packages will get stolen ** Tenis court? Well is a dog poop area ** Customer service, wait for the call back maybe couple of months ** Hidden charges You will be very tired of living there after the first month!! There many places that you can live for the same amount of rent or even less and with better quality and faster response!!!

I accidentally posted a 5 star rating just moments before getting started, so please disregard! Location, location, location !!! Its Great, however its a dump! If you have 1900.00 a month for rent then look around because you will get mad everyday when you enter these rehabed projects! The bldg carpets are disgusting and the games tthe mgmt played with me is what id like to share. I rented a 1 bedroom for a year and aside for the waterbugs i fought off daily in the spring and summer both inside and outside the bldg it was ok. So i decided to rent a 2 bedroom and all hell broke loose. The policy is blind. You cant actually see the apt and there is no 30 money back or satifaction guarantee. My concern was real and the complex mgr assured me if something did not meet my standard they would fix it. LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES !!!!!! I screamed and ahouted until they painted the bldg, half a.**cleaned the bldg carpet, resurfaced my kitchen countertops and i could go on for another several characters. I finally exhausted myself but in an effort to pay it forward.... I CAUTION YOU, DONT DO IT! They have yet to meet my standard! My lease is up in Sept and i look forward to moving. FYI I have NEVER written an apt apartment rating! Im not an angry person but i am hopeful someone will read this post and benefit!

Lived here for a year and could not take anymore, had to move out. 1. There are MICE - I requested maintenance maybe 6 times when I lived here and they just kept putting traps that did nothing. To their credit they really did try, but I think a group of mice was living in the building and the only thing that would have helped would have been a full building fumigation. In my year living there, I saw maybe 10 mice; at one point 3 ran out of my kitchen chasing each other. The only thing that helped was I borrowed a cat from a friend to chase them when I saw them... I know gross. 2. Safety - I repeatedly told the leasing office that people in my building were propping the front door open when I lived right by it, and they did absolutely nothing to help. A sign or walk through would have sufficed, but they responded with a canned email and did nothing. 3. Laundry - the electronic payment option for the laundry machines constantly broke so I had to rely on finding quarters to do laundry in the buildings. 4. Parking if the building is on a public street, if you come home later than 9pm, you will have a bad time finding a spot. Now, I understand that that is not the property's fault, and they do offer reserved parking spots at a cost; however, you should consider that if you were thinking about living here, you are probably not gonna find a spot near your building if you are someone who is out and about all day. Plus, they raised the rent by $300 and the reserved parking spots by $20 per month, with no additional benefits, so I did not renew my lease.

If I could give zero stars I would. Overpriced apartments for the small amount of square footage. Super tight parking, expect door dings. Greedy is an understatement when describing Foxchase, nothing makes me happier than to move out and stop giving them my business. Good luck with the black mold and mice too.

Foxchase is a decent affordable apartment complex. That's the main driver, cheap. Recently though they are significantly increasing the cost of rent, trying to overhaul some amenities to provide a broader range of "nicer" amenities. Including a small dog park. The other residents are some of the nicest people I have met, most people who live here are young families starting off in life, or people temporarily moving into the neighborhood for a short time. All in all it's a great place to live, if you don't mind the persistent noise, bugs, the occasional crime and never seeing your security deposit again. Let's start with the noise, these are much older buildings, that were either poorly constructed or were constructed with the idea of them being large mansions. You will hear your neighbors day and night, from walking through the hallways, slamming door to just having casual conversations in their living room your neighbors live with you here. Insulation of the apartments, none of my windows really sealed, the weather stripping on my front door was basically non-existent so there was a breeze moving through my apartment year-round. Nice for getting fresh air but terrible for efficiency with the thermostat. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. My neighbor downstairs would burn incense and it would rise through the floorboards into my apartment and drive me crazy. Then when they moved out, the next tenant smoked weed chronically so it was great to have that seeping into my apartment as well. Albeit an alleged "no smoking community." Bugs, because of the aforementioned issues, and the focus on rebuilding for amenities that aren't needed. You will see / have mice, lady bugs, salamanders, ants, spiders and other various creepy crawlers as roommates not ideal but they charge you about $10 a month to deal with the bug issue, as part of their hidden fees. Hidden fees, everything, "energy efficient appliances" about $8 a month, communal water and waste water management, you get charge per square foot / occupant in your apartment. So if your 4 neighbors have 3 kids, you get to subsidize their water usage. It's really a great and fair system. Crime, during the time I lived there I never personally had an issue with crime, except for my neighbor the first 6 months being a drug dealer. Seeing the comings and goings of strangers into my building all hours of the night and day: because the exterior door didn't lock and management didn't care to fix it. Great work on that dog park. To seeing 5 different cars have their tires stolen in the parking lot. There was no communication from management about security awareness or to look out for suspicious behavior at any time. Now your security deposit. Consider is already forfeit, even if you leave the place immaculate, and especially if you pay for their in house cleaning service. When I moved in, I noted that there were scratch marks on EVERY wall, especially in the staircase from the previous tenants. I wish I had kept track of that document. As such when I moved out, I paid for the "we will clean your apartment service, including the small amount of painting that would need to be done up to the size of a quarter." They charge $75 for this service, so I thought I was getting a deal. Nope -- they turned around and wanted to charge me about $400 to paint my whole apartment, the second floor, I didn't even hang up a single poster. So they settle on just the first floor at $273 Most of the walls were well-maintained, and honestly it seemed like I barely lived there. So, it's a cheap place to live, with staff that kinda cares, honestly the maintenance people, and cleaning staff were more friendly and heart warming than anyone else that worked there. Oh and be cautious of the sub-contractors they drive around going 30-45 mph in a the parking lots, with little to no regard to anyone who lives there.

I went to see this place today 11/02/16. Roddrigs do not want to rent me at all with bad attitude and kept me waiting for 45 min taking calls ignored and finally came out without any paper work asking what I need and disappeared. He started playing on computer and can not pule empty place till I ask me to show me quickly as driving from out of town. He was very rude started blaming me. Finally showed model and did not know rates and started moving around curcer on laptop non stop. So I will walk out. I asked for manager in the beginning and he said she is off. I asked at the end, he said she was here and somewhere else and will be back and started cursing me. When I spoke to other female employee, they all ganged up as if they don't like to rent me due to where I am from and ask me to wait at waiting area. But manager never showed up. When I asked again, they said she is in another property. So what was the reason to waste my time when I was driving from out of town planning to cover as many laces I can. But wasted my whole day at fox Chase. DO NOT RENT here, as they hate if you are from another nation.

Affordable community to live in, and the maintenance people are quick and handy once they get your order. There are only two problems: bugs coming from the walls as it's an old building, I had to tape the whole floor between the walls to prevent it from coming in, and noisy upstairs neighbors screaming at their children. Update: I changed my review from 3 to 1, the bugs problem was ongoing even after pest control, and I had to bring a cleaning company to steam the apartment, and still no hope. They took my deposit and charged me an extra 27$ for a punch of services. The funniest thing was that they charged me for repainting the apartment after moving out, which I made sure to cover all holes and clean all regular spots, and I even sent them a video of it. Do yourself a favor, and don't live here. It's cheaper for a reason.

I lived in Foxchase apartments for 3 weeks and had to leave because of personal reasons. I'm 23 just graduated from college and got a job opportunity out in DC. This establishment tied over $4000 onto me because I had to leave due to certain circumstances but even after explaining to them that I just don't have that money they wouldn't work with me at all. Wayne Harris is the worst manager at the establishment because after being told to get into contact with him I sent him an email explaining how I only stayed for 3 weeks and had to leave because of certain reasons he just told one of the other workers at Foxchase, ingnored my email and I had to find out his answer by calling Foxchase and have someone's else explain to me what his highness Wayned Harris said which was basically "we can't help you at all"... completely unprofessional organization and would no way at all recommend it to anyone. After a million phone calls they were able to drop it down a little above 3 grand that I now have to pay $266 a month for a year.... if you are 100% committed to this place and can somehow predict that you won't have to leave due to family/work/illness then stay because they won't cut you slack at all... Again, I stayed three weeks at the place and everything was exactly the way it was when I moved in but because they are starting to get a bad rep (on basically every online review website) they will try to milk as much money out of you...Don't make my mistake and make sure you have a lawyer to look over their move in contact and just a lawyer in general if you are living at Foxchase in Alexandria....they are sneaky...

Everything good about this apartment is overshadowed by the cockroaches. Management has been in multiple times to try to control the issue (at least they've tried), but nothing seems to work. We live with cockroaches. From asking around, it seems that not every single building has a roach infestation, but many do. I recommend not even taking that risk. Being afraid to walk into the kitchen to make dinner or be home alone and encounter a roach does not feel like home. I'm looking forward to the end of the lease.

The parking situation has gotten so bad that it now violates OSHA standards. Someone at management hired the lowest bidder to start renovations on the apartments. There are now industrial dumpsters that protrude into the middle of the street, threatening to cause a car accident. And if that isn't bad enough, there are forklifts parked on the street, with the forks left straight up in the air with equipment on them, waiting for a gust of wind to blow the equipment off the forks on to a poor residents car or even worse, someone driving or walking down the street, killing them. If you value your personal safety, please rent somewhere else.

I have only lived here for three months and I hate it here. The people in the office are incompetent at best and never have a direct answer or solution to any of my questions. There online system as serious glitches and ended up charging my card for twice my rent and when I brought up the concern to the office they said it was my fault and that I would have not only pay my bank to cancel the charge but also pay an additional $50 to the apartment complex! The maintenance team are quick and efficient which I find to be the only pro for living in this apartment complex...Parking is impossible to find after 9PM and really inconvenient when you come home from class at 10PM. Lastly the complex only offers Comcast as an internet service provider and this company is the worse and in the 3 months that I have lived here I have had to call Comcast on 4 separate occasions. Let me be frank if I did not have to use Comcast best believe I would not be paying $40 a month for such mediocre service. I am counting down the months until my lease is up because I definitely will not be renewing.

To whom this may concern, If I could give zero stars, I would. I am sharing my short experience with Foxchase Apartments. My experience started out great, my leasing agent answered all my questions and was very attentive during my visit, so much so that I decided to put in an application. As many of you know, some apartment complexes have a holding fee required in order to apply. I paid the holding fee & application fee. I was approved under conditions, added a guarantor, the guarantor was denied. This notification of their denial was not communicated to me and only to the guarantor. I waited a couple of days and still no notification. I called multiple times to see what I could to do about my application, but the maintenance number would keep ringing and there would be no reply. I called and emailed till I finally got a call back. I told them over the phone how disappointed I was from the lack of communication and no follow up. At this point, I was done with their lack of care and asked them to initiate a refund and cancel my application to which they obliged or so I thought. I then later got a call from the original agent inquiring why I decided to cancel my application. He finally gave me the options I was asking for in order for my application to get officially approved. I claimed that it was too late, and I would like to stand by my cancellation on May 2nd. It is now May 15th, I still have no refund. I have called the corporate line on May 14th, the wonderful woman on the phone was confused and inquired about my situation. She informed me that they had a 72 hour cancellation policy (which I was not informed about) and the refund was not being issued, for they did not see that my guarantor was denied. This shocked me, never in my 25 years have I experience something so cruel. The lovely lady on the phone said that the refund is now issued, but I have to wait for another 3-7 days for it to be in my account. I have never in my life experienced such grotesque behavior from a company. If I had not advocated for myself and followed up, I would have never received my money back for the holding fee. They are here to give you as little information as they can and only give you more when they see you are visually upset & frustrated. I do not recommend applying or living here. I had heard so many great experiences from trusted friends and was excited for the future of possibly living at Foxchase, but the lack of communication, empathy, and care for their potential residents has left a bad taste in my mouth. As for anyone apartment hunting, please approach with caution and do your own research. UPDATE: It has been almost a week, and still no refund. I asked my bank if they see a pending refund, they have no record of it. I have submitted a claim with my bank to get my money back. Moral of the story, DO NOT APPLY.

When you walk through the apartments they have set up for show everything looks nice and wonderful and then you sign a lease and move into your apartment. Everything in the apartments is ancient, even if you pay extra for the so called upgrades. The water heater was leaking water when we first moved in and the tech basically said to just keep calling in as it will just continually leak and to call whenever it gets full. Then the drawer in the ancient kitchen was broken and gets improperly fixed. The dryer just does not work. In order to dry just one load of laundry you have to redry like 5 times and regardless of putting numerous service requests it does not work. There are CENTIPEDES, MICE.... yes MICE as in SQUEAK SQUEAK NIBBLE NIBBLE through your food and leave droppings and have you shaking your husband awake in the middle of the night because you hear them, make you sleep with one eye open because you are afraid they might climb into bed with you or with your child, there also are ROACHES! We are not dirty people, we have a cleaning service come weekly and never leave food out or open, this place is just dirty and infested on its own. This place is absolutely not worth the money and you do not actually pay the so called price that you sign the lease for because they charge you an arm and a leg for water sewer and trash and pest control, which is separate from the gas and electric bill that you also will pay for, you'd might as well live somewhere nice and not dirty as you will be paying a ridiculous amount anyhow. Packages get stolen. Delivery people have no way of getting into the building to deliver your packages. Customer service is horrendous, once you sign the lease don't bother calling or even going to the office for any questions or help because well basically they don't care about you anymore. This is the WORST community I have ever lived in and wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to live here. Also don't bother with getting a parking spot as others will just park there and management will not care. I am forced to give this place a one star because if it were up to me they would have a -10000. Save time, money, and hours spent in the middle of the night googling do mice climb on beds and live elsewhere. We are counting the days until we leave.

They started out great. Friendly staff, grounds seemed well cared for, neighbors seemed nice. But over the past year and a half, everything has gone downhill. Maintenance is either excellent or doesn't bother, with the latter being the most common. Parking is an absolute nightmare, as they don't have enough parking spaces and expect people to pay absurd amounts for individually reserved spaces, and do not enforce towing on the less expensive reserved spaces. The dog park is in disrepair, with the gate damaged, one of the poop bins knocked over, one of the hurdles consistently on its side, and a complete inability to drain after wet weather causing an extremely unpleasant stink and increased risk of parasites. There is no enforcement on dog poop pickup, so in the past few months, the inconsiderate dog owners have turned the grassy areas into a veritable minefield of feces. They appear incapable of enforcing their smoke-free policy as well. While I have been lucky enough to avoid major pest problems, many people have not. Getting someone to return a phone call is like trying to pay off a student loan on a minimum wage salary: impossible, disheartening, and frustrating. Tl;dr: Run.

UPDATE: Foxchase is a scam. DO NOT MOVE HERE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Yesterday I moved out of Foxchase. For two months, I asked the property manager to please assist me in getting an estimate to have my 400 sq. ft. apartment repainted because if it was too high, I would like to do it myself. In short, I was repeatedly passed around or ignored until a week before move-out when I called to schedule the paint estimate and the move-out inspection and was encouraged to simply do both at the same time - despite my interest in weighing my options vs. repainting myself. I figured it couldn't be THAT high if they were so nonchalant about giving the estimate on the day of move-out. Otherwise, what would be the point of an estimate? They know how big their units are. When the maintenance person showed up, he had NO IDEA I had painted or that I had been trying to get in touch with him. He literally acted surprised and concerned. He called ANOTHER person to come do the paint estimate, which they informed me would cost $750 ON TOP OF a $270 fee *just to repaint*. The $750 is simply to "change the color". I was flabbergasted to say the least. He offered me the next *5 hours* to purchase paint (which I was told would be given to me when I moved in) and repaint the entire apartment - which is physcially impossible to do in such a timeframe, but could have been done had I known prior. The property manager will use veiled threats "I would hate to have to charge you again if you didn't paint/clean to our satisfaction..." to convince you to let them charge you almost an entire month's rent just to move out. I had looked high and low through my lease and move-out information and never once found information about these charges. But, somehow, this wasn't even the worst part. When I moved in 2 years ago, I signed a lease under the impression I would be moving into a top-floor unit - my only requirement. I even set up all of my utilities to this address. ONE WEEK before move in, Pragna takes me on a tour of my unit and it's 100% not the address I was given. It was a second-floor unit under a family of FIVE who happened to be the loudest children I have ever encountered. I hope whoever moves into my old unit enjoys stomping and screaming at 10pm every night. Pragna's answer? "Oh, I didn't tell you? My bad." That is unacceptable in itself. The real kicker? The SAME thing happened to two of my neighbors who moved in around the same time. I'm certain we were simply all promised the same unit so that we'd be cornered into moving in at the last minute, once they changed our addresses. You will have NOWHERE to park after 7:30pm unless you pay $65 for a reserved (uncovered) parking space - which is outrageous. The people around this area are sketchy af - we recently had a masked burglar looking into people's windows at night multiple times. It is simply not worth anything at all. There are apartments elsewhere that have free parking that's actually available, leasing agents who won't lie and decieve you so they can get a tenant, management that won't sneakily charge you more than you expected at move-out, and maintenance that actually maintains the grounds and buildings. The bushes outside my building were overgrown for the last 2 months - you had to go *through* the branches to get to the door. The cement is sloped in a way that rain pools - which in the winter turns to solid ice. The grounds are disgusting, the dumpsters are constantly overflowing two days after pickup, and the building are falling apart. The day I moved out, I watched roof shingles slide off the roof into the grass in front of me. The laundry machines cost $5 every time you want to do a load of laundry. The pools are constantly down for maintenance. Maintenance won't fix certain issues - like my screen door that wouldn't stay on the track, or my faucet that leaked when you turned it, or the dishwasher that smelled like rotten seafood. They'll look you in the eye and tell you there isn't a problem.

I have lived here for a year in one of the renovated units. At first the place seemed nice with all new appliances, but its just covering up the deep issues of these old buildings. I have had multiple issues with pests- from all sorts of bugs and now mice. I have had both maintenance and the contractors come and fill various holes in the apt, but it seems like there are so many holes in the building its impossible to keep the mice out. I have had pest control come multiple times and the problem has still not been resolved. In addition I've called maintenance SEVEN times for my fridge not cooling. It stops working literally every week and still has not been replaced. While the team does eventually show up, they only provide temporary fixes instead of thoroughly going through the apt and finding and fixing problem areas. Additionally, all of the 2br are on the top floor which is commonly rented to young families-meaning you will hear screaming, crying, dragging of furniture, loud noises all day and night. I am so uncomfortable living here. If you can afford to live elsewhere I would recommend doing so.

The apartments are over priced. No matter how clean you are, you will get mice and bugs. I put in a maintenance request about the mice and the only thing they did was put sticky traps down. They didn't work to find where the mouse came from and they didn't reach back out to see if the problem had been solved. The parking spots are tight and small. They are ideal for motorcycles but not for cars or trucks. Expect your car to get swiped or dinged from someone trying to fit in the spots. Also, if you come home after 10 on the weeknight, good luck finding a spot to park because both the lot and street parking gets full early. The only thing good about this complex is the maintenance staff. They are nice and are quick to complete the order. The location is what kept me there. For the price you pay you would expect there to be a lot of amenities but there aren't many at all except for the gym and the pool. The gym is as basic as a hotel. The apartments aren't all that nice either.

I used to have a great review for Foxchase posted, but now I am changing it after moving out. I always paid my rent, completely cleaned the apartment after moving out, and was a good lessee. Even paid hundreds in fees when I paid my rent a few days late one month AND when I paid my rent EARLY but got charged $100 late fee when I suddenly got sewer/trash charges on my account. I feel like AIMCO is stealing from me. This is a time of hardship that the whole world is going through and you already took my deposit. Do you really need $550 more from me because you wouldn't accept my VERBAL numerous phone calls requesting the price increase in my rent to see if I should renew?!?!?! I had a friend recently move from here and it reminded me of my experience. I lived here from 2012 to 2015 and there was always some mess going on with our building. The A.C. unit broke down 2 different times and the administrative office seems to take their sweet time with notifying maintenance. Me and my roommate also kept having an issue with mice when we hardly ever used the kitchen let alone left food in there. After hiring an exterminator it was revealed there were multiple holes within the walls they were coming through go figure right? The rent was the most irritating part because it kept going up. When we first moved in we were paying $1,426 monthly for rent alone. The following year they tried to bump it up to $1,785 a month for the same type of lease we had before! We talked them down to $1,602 but for our final lease our rent was raised to $1,860. They weren't willing to negotiate with us that time but luckily that was the last time because I found a new apartment and my roommate was going to separate from the military anyway. The best part was when we had to do an early termination with about 2 weeks left on the lease. They were going to charge us both individually 3,000 and something a piece which came out to $6,300 total! Thing is since my roommate was separating the military his orders would validate us from having to pay a fee but the administrative office would NEVER pick up the phone or respond to voicemail or emails. I took this as them not trying to honor the military clause which is FEDERAL LAW by the way and made an appointment with the legal office at the base I worked at. Fortunately for Foxchase they contacted my roommate the day I was going to take action. They said they were "validating" his separation orders. After that 3 weeks of trying to contact them they finally removed the outrageous fee and we paid a small fee for cleaning the apartment but man I always recommend people to look elsewhere to this day. Maybe the management has changed by now and I seriously hope it has because the actual apartments aren't bad at all the management just ruined everything for us.

I moved into Foxchase November 2013. I took the apartment that had the least amount of maintenance issues. I've never paid my rent late, and never had any complaints besides the few maintenance tickets I put in. November 2014 I signed for another year. My initial mistake. MY SECOND YEAR WAS HELL!!! November 7th 2015 I finally let management know I couldn't take the issues anymore and needed to move out immediately (after staying in hotels for the past month on and off because of the mice infestation). Long story short, it resulted in me getting a very rude phone call from their "customer care" department today saying i owe over $7 THOUSAND DOLLARS for ending my lease or I would have to get an attorney! Issue One-My apartment had a serious mice infestation that lasted a few months. I could hear them underneath the floor and in the walls. I killed one by hand and my fiance caught one. Family and friends were afraid to visit, and I stopped cooking at home for fear of catching diseases. I am very clean. Never left food or dishes out. I pay pest control fees to foxchase/AIMCO every month, yet the issue was never resolved. ( I was told it was because of construction to the building behind me). Issue Two-I paid $40/month for a parking space. I went on a 8 day vacation and SOMEHOW Foxchase "mistakenly" had my reserved parking sign pulled up and my car was towed. I came back with 2 large suitcases, a dead phone, at11pm at night, to no car (PS. I also left my house keys in my car while on vacation in case my luggage was lost).I walked to 7-11, with suitcases and caught a cab to the tow company. Although Foxchase later reimbursed me for my tow fee, the inconvenience was horrible. And they only reimbursed me after I had to prove to them, by way of a picture I happen to take, that my car was in a reserved space. Because, SOMEHOW they had no records of me having a space, nor anyone pulling my sign and removing my painted space decal Issue Three-My electric bill was around $300 dollars some months. I had a gas stove and lived alone. After making Dominion Power come out several times to check the issue, a Technician finally said I should check my dryer vents. Foxchase/ AIMCO maintenance came and cleaned my vents and I continued to have the same electric bill issue. Only until I ended up calling Sears and paying out of pocket to have an HVAC tech come out. The tech said my vents were so backed up, that with my vents opened they could barely tell if the dryer was on or off , the backup was so bad and old that you could not see the trash "breathe" ...$99 later the issue was fixed ISSUE 4-I got out of the shower one morning and came downstairs to get a towels out of the dryer, I had no clothes on and a maintenance guy just opens my front door. I called and complained because I put a permanent note on all of my tickets that say, call before entering because there are women in the apartment. It happened a SECOND AND A THIRD TIME. As of 10/31/15, I was all paid up .Here is an insert from a letter I wrote on 11/07/15 "The living conditions are intolerable, with mice running around ( I have picture of the droppings the left around the apartment, and videos of the noises they make while running in between the walls at night.... I cant take it anymore and it's unfair for me to have been staying in a hotel as well, because the pest issue was never fixed. (please see attached pictures, and maintenance letters, and hotel receipts)..." Update 11/29/17. Foxchase had someone reach out to me regarding this issue only to appear as if they were trying to be helpful in reviews. I have not heard from Foxchase since. Instead, they took me to court without sending me any court documents, a phone call or an email. NONE of my information has changed, my emergency contact and contact for non-payment never changed, the address I moved to was the same address on my driver license. I was found guilty in my absence. Someone contacted me with the same issue. If anyone else experienced issues like this and are interested in entering a suit, contact me.

My husband and I lived in building 912. I cannot say all the buildings are like this, but our experience at this particular building while at the Foxchase community was not pleasant. Biggest complaint are pests. I understand pests happen, as you are living with many people with different cleanliness standards, but our issue with pests lasted well over a year until we finally saved enough to leave. Roaches and ants are a huge problem in this particular building. When we moved in, our apartment was nicely refurbished, but when my husband moved the fridge to retrieve a dropped utensil, we found old roach motels. A huge RED FLAG 2 weeks after move in. We were told that this was a preventive measure. Days after our call, while watching a movie (late at night) we saw roaches wander around. HUGE roaches, like they've been living there, well fed and sheltered forever. We startling! Maintenance man came by and just added bigger roach motels. Even now that we're gone from that place we joke that we have PTSD from the roaches at Foxchase..lol Loud neighbors were another issue. We don't have children, but I can empathize the difficulty of having multiple children in a small apartment. However, sometimes the noise and the hallway messes were unbearable. We had a kid running up/down stairs with no pants on. Stains in the hallway carpet..just yuck. Parking is also a problem. There were very few spots to park near our building. The facility had 6-7 tenant spots used for their 97' maintenance pickup trucks. Super frustrating, husband was at night school at the time, and ended up taking uber to work/home. If you are broke, and this is all you can afford, you do you. Earn your coins to get out quick. Some positives is the community is next to Harris Teeter and nice forestry trails. But don't expect much. Units are a far cry from their newly remodeled leasing office.

Not professional at all. And hugely bureaucratic. The staff kept asking for sensitive info such as bank statements and many other docs, although a 02 months deposit is enough to start renting a place for persons with no credit score (new legal settler). On top of that, they charge you a $50 fee and lock you with a $500 deposit. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

I was a resident from 2016 to 2021. The neighborhood is friendly convenient to everything including Metro 395 and 495. Buses are close by as well. Within 2 miles you'll find ample grocery stores shopping gas stations and restaurants. The Maintenance office is good to work with but the leasing office is not. They're very difficult to get in touch with and have deleted my former review as well as forged my signature on the lease renewal and charged me several months rent when I gave a 60 day notice to move. I wouldn't recommend living here at all. Also there was mice in my apartment every year for 5 years. They don't upgrade their apartments unless the tenants pay $200 more monthly. Very poor management.

Do NOT sign a lease here. From Day 1 when I moved in there were issues - the unit wasn't move in ready, I had no working water in the bathroom for the first day, there was construction dust everywhere and the walls still had tacky wet paint. Once you've signed the lease management could care less about you. If you have any sort of issue, unless you go to the leasing office in person, nothing will get done. And if you work late and need to talk to someone - you'll just have to leave work early. I have no idea how the leasing office is too busy to answer their phones as there's at least two people in the office not actually doing anything when I've gone in. The door to my building never locks. I've given up trying to get maintenance to fix it. Contractors came into my apartment without notice, left the unit UNLOCKED, damaged my property, and it took me phoning, emailing, and going in person multiple times to get the situation even mildly taken care of. They gave a few days notice that pest controls was treating the building and I was REQUIRED to remove everything from all cabinets, the bottoms of the closets, to remove all foodstuffs and cover them with a tarp, and not to enter the unit within a certain time frame. I couldn't get anyone to tell me what they were using, or to provide an SDS sheet for the chemicals they were obviously going to be using, if I needed to be concerned about upholstery or linens absorbing the stuff, or about the fact that I would have 1 day to do it because I was going to be out of town right before hand. And even after that? Still have bugs. The toilet constantly runs, and I've had maintenance out multiple times for it, still not fixed. The vents are constantly blowing debris out. They "upgraded" the apartment with smart feature such as a touchpad lock for the unit doors - which is loud and obnoxious (I now constantly hear the sound of my neighbors kocking and unlocking their door digitally) and pointless as you still technically need a key to enter the building (on the rare occasion it actually locks) and a thermostat requires internet access. The lease might seem like a good deal, until you factor in the other fees. The water bill isn't actually off a meter. They've metered the hot water heater and not the units themselves and are "guessing" how much water you use by multiplying how much hot water is used by a random magical number. I've lived in a larger house with more people and paid less for water. Parking, unless you pay $40 a month for a reserved spot, is almost impossible. I've also been harassed by people while walking during daylight to my unit - I can't wait to leave this place. Stay far away. Don't rent here. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Stay away from these apartments! These people are rip-offs. They pressure you into signing a lease by increasing the quotation amounts. Then when you leave, they charge you $90 for a cleaning fee even though you clean the apartment better than when you moved in. For one inch scratches on the countertop, they charged me $155. I recommend that if you do decide to rent from these rip-offs; you take pictures of everything during initial move-in inspection to protect yourself. Move-in at your own risk and don't expect to get your security deposit back.

They fixed the outside lights like I asked but that week when I was visiting there was a problem with one of the tenants leaving the burner on and I ended up calling the fire department and the number for Dwayne which led me to options - I left a msg and the NEXT DAYYYYYYYY some guy calls me and said you reported a fire. I thought that was absurd because a day later they call to see what the issue was - THAT IS BAD SAFETY PROTOCAL! What would have happened if I didn't call the fire department. 🙁
