1. My deposit was not returned - and it was full month's rent, since I am an international student and not a US resident, which makes it a larger sum. 2. Too loud in the evenings sometimes - from the outside. The sound isolation is a joke. And I like the quiet too much. The absence of silence is detrimental to my health - more chances of getting migraines. And my migraines are debilitating for me - rendering me unable to think until it's over and the pain goes away. So, this was a big deal - and I asked about this in advance - inquiry via email, before signing the lease, and was assured that there are no issues with noise. 3. Takes ages to get a maintenance man, e.g. the shower was rusty, and they changed it after over 2 weeks of me putting in the notice on the portal. Luxury apartment, indeed... 4. Deliveries get lost sometimes or someone takes them - mystery to me. Because there's no service included, like a receptionist - it's like an easter egg hunt sometimes to find where your delivery is - searching all over the place - sometimes it says it arrived on your amazon profile, but you can only find it in the basement days later. There are lockers, but a lot of the delivery men forget to put it there, so they leave it in front of the lockers, so there's no point in paying for them in the first place. The lockers are an additional $75 per month. If you are someone who orders items frequently online - don't choose this place! 5. The shower - there's a gap between the glass door and the permanent fixture, so if you shower for a long time - the water goes through and I had to constantly change and purchase new bathroom mats and towels, to wipe the floor dry. 6. It's cold at night, since I don't use the AC. The AC is loud, which is why I can't use it at night - won't be able to sleep, so I had to buy more duvets, and even then - it is uncomfortable, since there's the instances when I am not in bed. 7. The floor squeaks sometimes - like a pop up hammer in those arcade games - it's freaky. 8. The alarm went off several times, even though I don't cook... and I definitely don't smoke. It was like 3 times total. And it is really loud - I had a migraine for the full day after. If your neighbors trip it - the alarm is awful for you too - yet no actual danger in any of the occasions, the only casualties being my ears and my head... 9. When someone rings downstairs to be let in - there are these scary flashes of color, which are uncomfortable, and make you feel like you're in danger. Never seen anything like it before. 10. The app - which is supposed to work and give access to the smart home, did not work from the get go. I made several maintenance requests, and yet the issue was never fixed. The lady, Erika Hedden, who was present during the check in process saw that, and yet I was charged for it after moving out - what the hell? 11. Several times the management or other personnel entered my apartment without my permission, and without me present - even though I requested every time that I feel uncomfortable when that occurs - I want to be present any time someone enters my space. When they entered without my consent - it felt like a violation of my privacy and personal space. I don't check my mail on a daily basis, so sending a letter is not enough to inform me - there needs to be written consent from me for them to enter, or any sort of confirmation, where we would need to agree on a time, so that these strangers could enter... 12. The contract is very one-sided - all the benefits are received by the Vivo team, and all the liabilities are on the side of the resident. For example, accommodations made during renovations of the hallway - which were well on the way from march.... 13. Hard to contact the staff after I already signed the lease agreement, not particular friendly or helpful, either
