I have lived here for 9 months by now, need more space so wanted to rent the second apartment but have really bad experience recently. I'll share both my positive and negative experiences here. 1. The day when I applied the second unit, I went out to take a phone from my doctor, when I come back the price in the system became $57 lower on my phone, Nico felt wired but it did become $57/month lower on his laptop after refreshing the website, so we locked that lower price by paid $1000 deposit and $50 application fee for 23 months lease term. But when it comes to the contract step, it shows higher price. I asked Nico but he said I need show them (the lease team/leader) screen shot to show the $57 lower price even he remembered I locked the lower price because in the system it shows the higher one. But they already deleted the record from the back stage. (System did send a confirmation email but it's a link, please see the screenshot of the "Not found" page from the link.) Even I'm OK with the higher price, I feel pretty uncomfortable to sign the contract because they lost their credibility. 2. For my current unit I applied after it was available, so I can see what it actually was before applying. For the second one, I applied before it became available, so the renovation standard became different. There are new appliances in current unit, but the second unit is all old ones: dishwasher with rust inside, old washing machine and dryer...dirty bathtub. The explanation is if the appliances are OK to use they won't change to new when renovating. But I don't believe the appliances in current unit were all broken and the appliances in the second unit were all opposite when renovating. I feel really uncomfortable for this, too. 3. For maintenance (fixing things in the unit) it's good and fast most time. (1)Like some reviews said, yes, they ask for reviews after maintenance, that might be some of the reviews coming from. (2)For the reviews that they come in the unit without asking, renters can choose agree them to enter, I always choose that so don't know if they enters some units without that agreement. (3)Negative experience including: they don't provide the match "key" to the inside door (hole type lock but need match tool), they don't want to come opening for emergency so very wanted to change to doors without lock even when you were very busy. (4)Blinds broken very easily. It broke at the very beginning(shows in photos ) just I didn't want to trouble them to fix so just bear it, but close to summer the light angle becomes much brighter so I wanted them to fix, but they would charge $75.
