Pros: The grounds are somewhat well-kept. Pet-friendly (except certain breeds, except for certain people) Plenty of amenities Cons: The property is advertised as smoke-free, however this is not enforced. People smoke on baclconies and it drifts right into your living room if the patio door is open. All flooring is being converted to hard-wood floors. This may seem like a pro to those on the top floor, but is a nightmare for those on the first floor with a newborn that wakes up when noise is made on the floor above us. When we moved in, we were told that we would have to pay for any maintenance issues that arose, despite them existing before we moved in. Example; the heat lamp in the bathroom was broken and would stay on indefinitely, using a lot of electricity. We were told that to fix it, they would have to rip out part of the ceiling and we would have to pay for it. Another example: only one burner on the stove worked properly. We were told to "be happy that that one works." Possbily just an ignorant salesperson, but we were told that because our dog was a therapy dog, we wouldn't have to pay the pet rent. This was a major selling point since the pet rent is $100/mo for dogs over 35 lbs. However, this was a lie. This applies to emotional support dogs, as they are a necessity for the owner, however as a therapy dog, it was our choice to keep her. Again, possibly just ignorance of the difference on the part of the salesperson, but it was a $2200 mistake on their part, that they refused to fix. They do have a breed restriction, but it apparently doesn't apply to anybody since our neighbors had a doberman. I had no issues with the dog and have no breed-specific issues, but it still follows the narrative of "they have a bunch of rules that they don't enforce." The site design is very poor. Sidewalks only cover some of the roads, and those sidewalks aren't maintained well. This makes walks with a stroller nigh on impossible. As does the fact that (at least our building) had steps at every entrance, making even getting a stroller out of the building a chore. Also, my car was vandalized due to poor (read: no) security. What is that perpetually empty guard shack even for? Overall: It was decent, but I definitely would not live here again...
