This is a fantastic place to live if you enjoy waking up in the morning to go to work and seeing your car is no longer there due to the fact i had to park in a "unassigned" opened parking spot since someone was parked in the sheltered one I ...
I have had a generally terrible experience any time I have had to deal with anyone that works here (except for maintenance staff). They treat you like a check and there is no personal touch to anything they do. They are passive aggressive ...
Nice apts but I feel it's overpriced. The trees are beautiful but leave your car very very filthy or you can pay $25 a month for covered spot. Also parking at night is horrible always have to park way on the other side of the complex when I ...
We lived at this place for two whole years, it was decently priced, yet the customer service was horrid. The place is all about making money, so any small ordeal that they can charge you on will be charged. I tried to make sense of what ...
It sucks because they charge you for bullshit parking,it always smells bad, and when ever you have a problem don't even brother calling the front office
"Loving" living there couldn't have been more far from the truth. (They sent out an email asking residents to post a nice review in order to be entered into a $500-$1000 drawing). Our downstairs apartment flooded during last year's rain a ...
Wish I didn't have to put any stars because they deserve a negative rating. Horrible..... Walls are thin, water issues often (affected a lot of holiday dinners with the outrage), son's room flooded every other month, etc. Usually when I ...
The water is always off! We've lived here for just about 2 years and something is always wrong with the water main valve. I think our water has been off about 10 times just this year alone. It's even sometimes off through the night til morning time. It's ridiculous
I've been living at the island club for almost 7 months, but since month 2 I've having problems . Wouldn't recommend these apartments at all! Tiny apartment high rent let alone the issues I've been having (rather not say) always hated ...
Don't tour this place. They post low rates to only give you ridiculous reasons why they cannot meet those POSTED rates. Misleading & a waste of time.
I suggest that if you are actually reading reviews to find out what the people who live here or have lived here really think, take these seriously. Yes, this place has great priced rent for the size of apartment you get. Yes, it is in a ...
Pros: All hardwood floors (Yay no carpet) The living room/dining area is a nice size ...
lol would honestly never recommend this place . Last week the water was shut off and now again they post TWO more days with water shut offs , this is isnsane
Don't move here. parking is Horrible . Water taste like hose water. I just signed a year long lease here and I'm not happy at all
If you're thinking about moving into Island Club Apartments, stop right now and look somewhere else. I have never experienced a more unprofessional, disgusting, and frustrating place to live in my entire life. This place is an absolute joke -- except no one's laughing, because it's your money and your sanity on the line. Let's start with the noise. The walls are paper-thin, and your neighbors will make sure you know it. Loud music at all hours, stomping, shouting, parties -- it's constant. You can forget about ever having a quiet night. Even worse, the management does NOTHING about it. I filed multiple complaints, and every time I was ignored or brushed off. They pretend to care, but they never follow through. You're left to deal with it yourself while they collect rent and do nothing. Now onto the mold. Yes -- actual, visible mold growing in the apartment. It's disgusting and dangerous. I reported it more than once, and every single time, I was met with empty promises: "We'll send someone," "We'll take care of it," "It's scheduled." Weeks passed. Then months. No one ever came. They straight-up lied to my face, over and over again. Meanwhile, I'm breathing in toxic air and trying to keep my place livable. Management is completely incompetent and shockingly rude. They don't answer the phone, they don't return emails, and if you go to the office in person, you're treated like an inconvenience. The staff acts like you're the problem for needing basic repairs or asking for answers. They are unorganized, unprofessional, and honestly just don't seem to care about the people living here. It's not just poor customer service -- it's blatant disrespect. But nothing compares to the move-out scam. When I finally escaped this nightmare, I was hit with an outrageously high move-out bill. They charged for things that were already damaged when I moved in, things that were normal wear and tear, and even for professional cleaning when I had already left the unit spotless. It felt completely fraudulent -- like they just make up charges hoping you won't fight it. It's shady, unethical, and absolutely unacceptable. I'm still considering legal action. They reel you in with decent-looking pictures and a fake sense of professionalism, but once you're locked in, you're stuck in a nightmare. Moldy units, sleepless nights, broken promises, rude staff, and a move-out bill that'll leave you stunned. It's all part of the trap. Bottom line: Island Club Apartments is a health hazard, a money trap, and a complete failure of property management. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the stress, the health risks, and the financial loss -- run far, far away.
We picked this apartment because they said they have "playground " which is true but it's not THEIRS!!! It belongs to the daycare ! And we can't use it! Unless it's not school time!! They really mislead us when we signed the lease! There's dog poops everywhere and people smoking cigarettes while walking their dogs! They didn't seem to care about the rules here The community hot tubs are GROSS! Many time we wanna go use it and have to leave immediately because we saw bunch of hair floating in there! The water pressure in the house is sooo sloooowwww Only nice things here are maintenance guys They're ROCK!
Community is dirty. Dog waste is rarely picked up by dog owners. Apartments are small and extremely overpriced. There are several layers of paint over everything, especially doors, making them hard to shut/open. My door frame is rotting ...
Nice place. Landscape crew unable to reach ikea furniture in leasing office.
Literally the worst place i have ever lived in. I got towed my first day of living there IN MY OWN PARKING SPOT THAT I PAY FOR. For one, do not expect any of your deposit back no matter how clean your house is. We paid over 1500 just on ...
Update: 1 year at Isalnd Club has been the most miserable living experience I could have imagined. From repeated and extended water outtages, to flooded walkways, to warping floors causing the front door to not open/close, to 7 MONTHS ...
Today I found an adult wasp along with it's baby and a nest inside my apartment. I called the front office and they told me "IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL" and maintenance would come sometime tomorrow. I'm sure if they found a wasp nest in their home ...
I would not recommend island club to anyone. The amenities are not great the gym is hot and often the equipment is broken. The spa is broken and colder than the dirty pool. The walls are so thin you can hear everything music, TV, loud ...
This place is money hungry. They over charge for ever little thing. Parking, Additional parking, original parking, not assigned parking fee. There's poop everywhere and mind you the one bedroom apartment in only 556 sq feet. For a pet ...

First let me explain everything you have to pay for that we weren't aware about....You pay for water which generally runs to be about an extra $100 added to your bill every month. You also pay for parking which is complete crap. They should ...
Be prepared to spend an additional 45 dollars to park here. Not to mention all the other fees they tack on and don't tell you about. ...
Awful place to live. Whatever you do. Do not sign that lease and find somewhere else to live.
I used an alias because I do not wish to receive retaliation. This place is awful. They don't answer their phones. There is a severe cockroach problem and I never see them spray, but charge us for pest control. After maintenance our water was cloudy.
Horrible apartments. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Our kitchen started flooding and the supervisor of maintenance didnt even call plumbing to fix the broken pipe that was flooding our kitchen!!!!!!!! We had to go directly to the office and they ...
They don't know how to answer their phones. They let people constantly dig through the trash at all hours of the day. There are always problems throughout the community. There have been multiple water shut offs. And tree removal is so loud ...
Horrible apartment complex. Way over priced for what you actually get. The parking situation sucks, our A/C was constantly breaking, we had issues with the washer and dryer as well. We are military and had to cut our lease early and they ...
If you would love to come home to a community which reeks of bum urine and dog poo; this is your community! We have lived here 6 months and are very excited for our lease to finish! Nearly every other day, when I take my trash outside, I ...
I suggest you think twice before wasting your time here like I did. They are the ONLY apt complex I know of that charges a $500 holding deposit fee (in addition to the $45 spp fee) BEFORE you are approved. It's total bs. ...
If I can give this place zero stars I would! unless you want your car towed and to be ripped off this isn't the place to move! We paid 10 per car to park, not even getting your own space! My car got towed because it had pollen on it when i ...
Mold in the duct.
No water again!!!
After thinking about it for quite some time I've finally come to the conclusion that a yelp review is the least that I can do for future possible tenants before they think about signing that lease. The Island Club has been one ...
Very overpriced for what you get. Expect to add anywhere from 100 to 300 dollars a month for water trash and sewage, which is outrageous. There are bums that walk the compound at night and use the amenities. My motorcycle got stolen and my ...
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! This Apartment Complex is horrible!! The parking is first come first serve so no residents have a reserved spot. If you work night time you will drive around the entire apartment complex trying to find a spot until 4 ...
Disgusting; disappointing. Breakdown: Roaches ...
I have been here since March of this year 2018 and I can't wait to leave already. Within the first 4 months of living here our apartment has been infested with roaches and nothing has been done by the office. I ...
Horrible management staff, unclean move in conditions, bug problems, shower was un caulked leaving trails of dirt when you try to clean, corners of walls and base boards have mold and holes that are probably allowing the bugs to enter. ...
Water off again... These apartments have old water pipes, and then have issues 4 or 5 times a month, the water been off all day with no time table when it will be back on... Very unexpectable... All this money we pay... And no water, be careful moving in if water isn't a necessity to you...
We've Been here for a few months now, its pretty quiet and neighbors are nice enough. Just a bad experience with parking and towing which I've seen on some other reviews.
This has been a horrible experience with these apartments. Be aware that they have 0 cameras on the whole property, I had only stayed there for 5 months and my motorcycle has gotten stolen and my car got towed from my own private parking ...
Don't rent here!!! Being a san diegan I know there r basically no options for renting or housing unless u r rich. This complex is one of many that takes advantage of us who aren't in the 1%. I've been here for a year and not once have I ...
The price was okay for the first lease, the second one was a mistake. They increased the general parking as well as the covered parking spots, although they are trying to improve by not allowing guests to park on the premises. The water is ...
Worst living experience of my life. Your friends are not allowed to park on the premises and only one car per person on the lease. We had a rental car and parked it in OUR spot the we PAY for and it was towed. They shut he water off for a ...
THIS IS AN AWFUL PLACE TO LIVE
This place doesn't feel like home. I work nights and expect to have sanctuary and relax and get sleep during the day but there's always constructions going on everyday with loud sounds of drills and tools. I've been going to sleep at my ...
Former resident who lived there January 2012-May 2013; Just contacted the Leasing Office as I couldn't remember my old address. Described located in the very far back left corner of the property and asked for the apartment number, ...
I used to enjoy to live at Island Club for about 3 and half years. Generating to them a revenue for about 80,000$ plus recommending the community to two friend of mine that are still renting two apartments there. ...
I didn't have much time to find a home and ignored the bad reviews, but rest assured they are all true. This place has hidden fees upon hidden fees. For starters you are required to pay 10 dollars a month to park but not only do you NOT get ...
When we first came to visit the complex, we toured 3 apartments. The first two were small, outdated, and WAY overpriced. The last one was a corner unit that someone had just broken a lease on for medical issues and everything was still ...
Overall not a bad place to live for me it's close to work so I save on gas. It definitely isn't justified on the rent hike the past few years, when it rains we get a giant pool of water inside our apartment in front of our main door it has ...
When I first moved here I thought It was a nice place it was good area and the place seemed nice and well taken care of. 6 months into our lease we got cockroaches. They had the place sprayed which was a hassle everything has to be taken ...

Not a good place to live the maintenance is good but the leasing office is rude and very corporation like. I had mold in my house cause by the a/c upstairs and they came and took out my a/c and put a de humidifier in its place that ran my ...
Very poor amenities. They do not clean the pool or gym area. The complex leasing office has infestation of roaches. They will charge you service fee every month because of the infestation. Water shuts off once a week for two days. leasing ...
You charge for every little thing when it comes to utilities. This is the 21st century when rent prices are higher than ever before and this management group only cares about the money. Would never rent for this company again. Also a mandatory charge that we have no option to opt out of for a smart home that is only linked to the front door and the thermostat. What a joke. I can do all of that from my phone for free yet you think it is ok to charge for it. Also the utility prices change from month to month with wild fluctuations even tho I was a single man living alone and spent most time time at work. Also you have to pay an additional 45$ to park there if you want a spot (no guest parking after 6pm) and they are serious about towing your car as well! Even if you have a parking pass and park in the open parking your car can still get towed. They also charge and energy fee for what you might ask? I don't know but it's 7-8$ a month! They charge for pest control yet a saw spiders everywhere. Dog poop everywhere and all the management does about it is send emails that they will fine you.
I didn't like a thing about this place, you can't smoke even outside. They are overpriced and give you fees if rent is even one day late. Your bill for rent doesn't post till the 1st and you have 24hrs to pay. Parking is a joke. The ...
This complex leasing office will make accusations and not take your maintenance request seriously. I have requested to have my outlets fix because it could potentially be a fire issue, i was made a fool. Let maintenance enter my home and ...
We picked this apartment because they said they have "playground " which is true but it's not THEIRS!!! It belongs to the daycare ! And we can't use it! Unless it's not school time!! Horrible experience living here . We pay for everything, even our car parking spots and have been towed by OUR EXPENSE TWICE!!! Out of our very own spot . Once because the office gave two people the same port and they called and towed us , ...
Unless you like frequent rat and roach infestations stay far away. Water goes out regularly too.
Since I moved in there have been issues month after month. I moved In around April. They blame their issues on a new system & never take responsibility for their problems. ...
These apartments are very ghetto
I've lived here for 8 months already water is always off water has been off for 2 days already find somewhere else for the price not worth it at all many hidden fees
WOULD NOT recommend these apartments to anybody! literally ever. Please go with another option, they disregard any request to get mold out of apartment, they take HOURS to come to your apartment when your washer is flooding from a mistake ...
I wouldn't recommend - there are no amenities and if there are they are controlled by management as to who can enjoy them and how many people. Noise complaints aren't taken seriously, the paint in the house on the walls is difficult to upkeep and often looks dirty, they control smoking, they control parking, they control what decorations you can hang up and when you have to take them down. It's excessive when the rent is extremely high priced. I will say I've never worried about safety which as a single parent was my biggest concern. But overall my stay was okay - again the amenities (there aren't any in my opinion), you are overpaying and there's no security I can go up the road and spend the same amount of money on rent and utilities and have access to pools for my kids birthday parties and they can bring their friends stuff like that. Instead here I have to spend even more money to plan birthdays elsewhere because of the rules and parking issues It's just not worth it
Well after someone called me I edited my review. But again these people are impossible to get a hold of. I hate using the term, but these people rape me every month. They add additional charges every single month. They told me my total ...
Bad had my car towed from a spot that wasn't anyones designated spot used for guest parking I'm a resident with a parking sticker i pay over 2k in rent only for u idiots to treat us poorly and take our vehicles i literally go into the fron ...
Overpriced, decent place, but not worth the money. It's run like a corporation that wants to maximize profits, so it's understandable... But don't expect to be treated like a human being... You're a source of revenue and nothing else. You ...
I moved into this apartment in September, and we've had nonstop issues since day one. A week after moving in, we noticed our sink was leaking, the door to the laundry room fell off, and the heat in our daughter's room didn't work. We put in a service request, but the repair guy said it was "a little better," though it still doesn't work. Then, there's the animal policy. I have health issues and got approval for my emotional support dog, providing three letters from my doctor, but each one has been deemed insufficient. I can't easily go to the doctor because I used to live in Yuba City. They initially said it was okay to have fake grass on the patio and to clean up after our dogs, but then I got another notice, and the manager rudely denied ever saying that. They've also complained about our dogs barking and me yelling at them to come inside. Would they prefer the barking? My husband is in the military, and we want to break our lease, but they want us to pay two months' rent. Seriously? Someone who's serving the country deserves better treatment. We're also being blamed for our puppy using the bathroom on the patio, even though we clean up immediately. Meanwhile, other tenants don't clean up after their dogs. We've been living here for four months but were gone for two weeks in October, three weeks in November for my daughter's surgery, and all of December for her health issues. How are we getting so many complaints when we haven't even been here?
Do not move here, they turn off the water every month for repairs, when it's off it's off for hours. Sometimes with out notice. I'll be looking into legal action of this place being uninhabitable. to have to turn it off this much that ...
Do not rent from here. They over charge for rent and will 100% tow your vehicle and your guests vehicles. They make their money off of doing this. Worst place in oceanside.
My husband and I had just gotten married and I moved out to California with him because that's where he was stationed. Of course we're in a hurry to find a place to live because we were living out a hotel room in the meantime. We had ...
If I could give negative stars I would. Worst decision on moving I have ever made. A single room comes out to about 1,500 a month complete rip off. You can hear any little noise through the walls. My hot water didn't work for the first two ...
It's definitely a step up from the apartments my family used to live in. If you are military I strongly urge you to live on base. It's super clean and your water isn't shut off every month. We have had our water cut off for over 24hrs ...
Two stars for a very friendly management office who do their best with a pretty sub par complex. 1st- The parking here is ridiculous. Instead of making it all open parking, how about providing one covered spot per unit and then the other ...
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER EVERY CHANCE THEY GET!!! BIG MISTAKE!!! THEY MIGHT SEEM FRIENDLY AT FIRST BUT WAIT UNTIL YOU NEED SOMETHING, THEY IGNORE YOU AND MAINTENANCE SUCKS! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND FIND SOMEWHERE BETTER
Loved the place when we moved in. Now 6 months into it I'm kinda over this place. Pros: staff is friendly , pool. ...
Moving process was exceptionally easy and now that we've been here for a few months we realized we were completely lied to by the leasing agent we worked with about parking and about terminating leases early. Our vehicle has been towed out ...
MILITARY DO NOT RECOMMEND- When we EASed leasing office made it very difficult and had to get base legal involved. Breaking lease with them on military orders was harder than it should have been. Neighbors constantly screaming through the night.
