Overall, the living conditions are fine. However, there are a few things that are irritating about the complex itself. Many times the security door is left ajar, so the sense of security is highly diminished; the mail area is usually filled with discarded or junk mail no one wants, it would be helpful to have a recycling or trash can to place unwanted mail in. They don't warn you of the insets that crawl of our your vents, they look like centipedes - creepy and annoying. I've heard of mice, but have not encountered any in my particular unit. I personally have not had to call maintenance often, but that is because I recruit my Dad more times than Foxchase because I know the job will be done correctly in the first place. The dishwasher is of subpar quality, and the freezer can be finicky - my ice cream never stays frozen, tends to end up in the slooshy form. There are no wipes to clean the equipment in the gym, I tend to bring my own... The gentleman who drive the bus in the morning are great, but when they hired a new person for the afternoon shift they tend to be late and not parked in the designated location. If you are a smoker they are implementing a smoke free complex, which for me personally isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to have that option to smoke on your own porch.
