Damning Indictments: 1) The free Internet is incredibly temperamental. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Yeah, I know. But here's the thing- don't advertise what you don't reliably provide. 2) The library seems like an afterthought. Either that or it was planned by a moron. Why would you put a quiet room directly under a gym? Maybe to keep you awake while perusing their outdated collection of books? 3) Resident access to the game room is effectively nonexistent. In order to use the game room, you must find the ever illusive concierge. #BestOfLuck. Seriously though, stop being cheap and hire more attendants. 4) Resident acces to the indoor rock wall is severely restricted. They don't bother telling you this but in order for you to utilize the rock wall, you must be certified first. This means that you first have the task of tracking down the concierge (see above). Then you have to pray that he has time to certify you AND that he is even certified to certify you. 5) This complex has had problems with pet droppings left by lazy pet ownerd. This is difficult to avoid as it had even been found in the elevators. Their answer? Expand the pet designated buildings to include every building. Utter brilliance. 6) Security is a real concern. There are areas of the perimeter fence that can be traversed with relative ease. Ex. There are two gates that allow you to enter/exit towards Sakioka Dr. You can simply step around this gate. I've even seen drunks do it. Ex. There have been quite a number of breakins- mostly to vehicles but also to apartments. Security is clearly illusory. 7) There is racially based enforcement of rules. Not to be an ass, but if you are black or brown and want to have a party, their rule against too many guests will be used against you. Nothing serious, but you will be asked to disband. White folks.. don't even worry about this one. It doesn't concern you.. unless you find the notion morally reprehensible. 8) Can someone clear up whether you can reserve pool chairs and grills early in the morning? I've seen towels lining chairs at 7 in the morning. This seems ridiculous when these people will likely not be using the chairs for hours. 9) Take this for what you will, but some residents say they have been "censored" for voicing concerns on Yelp. Not surprised with micro-manager Matthew Comicz at the reigns. Talk about a prime example of the Peter Princple. Not sure who I'm referring to? Walk into the management office and look for an incompetent halfwit reeking of pretention. 10) Do not move here if you place a high value on the tennis and basketball courts- they are being torn down to make for a larger dog park! I guess they thought this was the best way to increase the amount of dog shit that lines footpaths. 11) Constant swindling: ex. They are actually trying a new program where you can buy a guest parking spot [see photo]. I'm sure that will go over well considering there is already a shortage of guest spaces. ex. The office charges $100 to replace the electronic key fob when it can be found online for approx $6. Talk about screwing people over. The only reason I looked into this is bc some other residents told me they just googled the product [hint: google "hid prox] and purchased it online. Then they had the office program it for them.
